Word on the street is that Robbie Lawler has turned down some fights because he wants to keep recovering from his concussion; a very admirable thing to do.
However, that concussion came at the hands of now Welterweight Champion Tyron Woodley, who KO’d Lawler in just two minutes and twelve seconds. This was the first time Robbie was KO’d since Nick Diaz did it way back in 2004.
Woodley, who has taken a lot of heat from fans from what seem to be unknown reasons, will be defending his title versus Stephen ‘Wonderboy’ Thompson at UFC 205 inside MSG.
Thompson is 13-1 and hasn’t lost in over four years, putting him on a seven-fight-win streak during which he has dusted the likes of Robert Whittaker, Jake Ellenberger and Johny Hendricks. This fight, should have fireworks.
