Undefeated ‘Submission King’ Tyler Wilson has a new opponent for TKO 40 in September.
According to our source (it’s a real person we swear, we aren’t Washington Post!), Wilson will fight newcomer Frederick Dupras at 135 lbs. The Montreal fighter is making his Pro debut, sporting a 6-1 amateur record. Despite being listed as a Featherweight on Sherdog & Tapology Dupras will go down to fight at Bantamweight.
Fighting out of H20 MMA (home to Olivier Aubin-Mercier) Dupras’ amateur record features five submission wins, one TKO win via kick and one submission loss. So, it seems we may have ourselves a good ole’ fashioned grappling affair as these two submission specialists square off.
The last time we spoke to Tyler Wilson he ensured us he would be winning his next fight en-route to a title fight in November so it will be interesting to see what tactics he employs against another ground fighter.
Check out our interview with Wilson and then watch Dupras win his second amateur fight easily by 1st round choke followed by his head-kick KO below:
